Honorable Chief Guest (Vice-President of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh) Mej Gen (Rtd) Prof A R Khan opened the venue. Special guest of this opening ceremony was honorable MP (Thakurgaon-3) Hafiz Uddin Ahammad. Prof AK Azad Khan (Secretary General, Diabetic Association of Bangladesh and Chairman, Project Management Board, HCDP) and Prof. Liaquat Ali (Prof. Biochemistry & Cell Biology, BIRDEM and Coordinator, Planning & Monitoring Cell, HCDP) has delivered their valuable speech on that occasion. During the opening day around 800 patients had got the medical services.

It’s a promoting health care centre where every type (Diabetic, Non-Diabetic) of patients can get the best services living in undeveloped places like Ranisankail .We have modern medical equipments and experienced Doctors and stuffs to serve the patients. We also have experienced team to give Technical Support. On the other hand modern X-Ray, Ultrasonography, ECG, all kinds of Laboratory tests are also available here. In order to give these services we have very rich laboratories such as Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology etc. In this centre a patient can get the Ambulance facilities (if necessary) to get better treatment in Thakurgaon even in Dhaka. In spite of all this facilities the best is that this centre is always linked with Thakurgaon Healthcare Hospital which is linked with Dhaka. In case of any demanding situation necessary information can be collected from specialists. The other important thing is that beside of physical treatment, social and psychological treatments are available here. In order to give these services we have Health & Nutrition Department and Clinical Psychology Department. This centre also gives Maternity service.

Thakurgaon Healthcare Hospital will be established nearly in future. The establishment of Peripheral Healthcare Project made an opportunity to serve the people of root level.
